Aidan is a Pokémon Trainer that the Jade Town Trainers encounter during their travels.
Appearance and Personality
Aidan is a young man with dark blue eyes and spiked slicked-back red hair, its edges fading to blond. He has rather bushy eyebrows and a small goatee on his chin. He wears a black tank top with a red flame design, dark blue jeans, a belt with a military-style clip and black and red hiking boots. Like his two counterparts, he wears a bracelet on his left hand. Often, he is accompanied in his journeys by his first Pokémon and closest companion - a female Sunkyd (later Cablaze and Helioryx) nicknamed Beka.
Aidan is a laid-back individual who does not seem to take himself or life in general all too seriously. Battling is just a thing he occasionally does to pass the time, and as long as the battle is enjoyable, he really couldn't care less about winning or losing. He's not particularly fond of the cold and thrives in warm weather - and most of his Pokémon reflect this preference.
As a trainer
One of three 'Mystery Trainers' which may be encountered in the course of an adventure, Aidan will appear in an adventure of trainers who have started their journey with Jawsea. Trainers who started with one of the other starters will encounter either Mint or Cyan, depending on their starter choice.
The trainer would encounter Aidan at various locations (out of a specific list), which he would cycle between along the course of the adventure. He and his team can be challenged there for assorted items, once per instance.
With the exception of the first encounter - which is always in the same place, these battles are optional. The team used by Aidan varies based on your team members' average levels, though as the game progresses, it can only rise. If you've already fought his Level 50+ team, for example, your next encounter with him will have either that team or higher, not lower.
