Jade Town is a town located in the northwest of the Miato Region. It is the point of origin for the player's journey through Miato and hometown of the Jade Town Trainers. Professor Redwood's Lab is located here.
There is a path leading north into the Jade Highlands (though the player cannot go too far along it until later events in the plot) and one leading south into Route 1.
Description
Jade town is a small, quiet rural town located on the border of the Jade Highlands, where the land begins to rise. Most of its houses are one or two-storey houses and have light green shingle roofs.
Places of Interest
Player's House
The Jade Town Trainers live here before beginning their journey with their parents. It is rather typical for a player's house - with the player's room located in an upstairs floor and a kitchen and a living room on the ground floor.
Professor Redwood's Lab
Professor Redwood's research lab is located here, where she conducts her research. It is a rather large laboratory with various different wings. At the start of the Jade Town Trainers' journey the professor herself is absent as she is out on fieldwork. As this is a rather common occurrence, the professor delegated the task of entrusting new trainers with one of Miato's starter Pokémon - the Grass-type Anoleaf, Fire-type Sunkyd or Water-type Jawsea - to one of her aides, Nysa.
The lab also holds the region's central Pokémon storage system. The system is managed by Delphine - who designed both the storage system and its end-user interface, accessible through PCs region-wide. Delphine herself is hard at work developing a device that would allow for easy team management on the go, a project that she refers to as the PokéPorter.
