Mount Triumph is the tallest mountain in Miato that is not a part of any of its three major mountain ranges and serves as the seat of the Miato Pokémon League. Traditions - and the League's rules - dictate that all would-be challengers scale it as a test of their skills and their bonds with their Pokémon - rendering it Miato's equivalent of the Victory Roads of other regions.

The Gauntlet

All bids to conquer the mountain begin at the First Gate at the end of Route 10 - which, as its name suggests is the first of multiple gates situated in various points along the mountain. A trainer must pass through a set number of these gates at least once as evidence for conquering the mountain before qualifying to participate in the League Tournament itself - merely flying to the peak from elsewhere will not do. There are multiple paths up Mount Triumph, combining mountain trails along the slopes of the mountain and caverns crossing through the mountain from within, and challenges both natural and manmade, requiring trainers and their Pokémon to pool their efforts to reach the top. Some of the challenges a challenger will face here are similar in nature to the challenges encountered in the assorted Gyms they faced before, though more complex - sometimes combining elements of such. Often, there is more than one solution for any given puzzle - or even ways around them.

Ultimately, a trainer will cross the Final Gate and take their first steps onto the peak of Mount Triumph, finding themselves face to face with the Pokémon League.

As with other Victory Road analogues, numerous powerful Wild Pokémon make their home in and around Mount Triumph.
