Route 7 is a route in Miato, connecting Obsidian City and Topaz City. A significant portion of it runs through a mountain pass known as Drake's Pass.

Route Description

Route 7 Departs Obsidian City and travels along the mountainside into a mountain valley within the ridge. As the path follows the ridge, it descends and the gap between cliffs narrows down. Soon enough, Route 7 winds through what is practically a rocky ravine. The cliffs along its sides are dotted with jutting trees, rocky outcroppings and ledges. Skilled rock climbers may be able to reach some of those - but for the average traveler, it is not recommended to try, as these are typically colonized by the creature that gave the pass its name.

Eventually, the ravine opens up into a broader, dryer eroded valley at the edge of the Jeweled Desert - where the Road's eastern terminus, Topaz City, is located.

Wild Pokémon

The Drake's Pass is famous for being a major nesting site for Pokémon of the Cindrake line. Cindrakes and the occasional Drakindle flying between higher ledges or scaling the rocky cliffs are a relatively common sight - though they rarely venture down into the passage itself, except to hunt. Trainers traveling with Pokémon are typically safe, but it is still recommended to keep one's wits - or repels - about one when navigating the pass.
