Biology
Soldazza is a Ghost/Steel-Type Pokémon resembling a haunted suit of armor. Its head is roughly spherical and sports a diamond-shaped 'visor' over the nothingness that is its face, resembling a medieval style helmet. Its body is relatively short and stout with a thinner midsection connecting its chestplate to its underside. Large shield-like constructs are fused to its arms, which it may use both offensively and defensively.
Soldazza are beings of great potential - while they are individually rather weak, they are capable of evolving into a variety of specialized forms - like a pawn that has reached the other end of the chessboard. As a form of safety in numbers, Soldazza often travel in pairs of two, each pair consisting of one individual with a light color morph and the other individual with the dark color morph. These pairs often protect each other, which may make them much more difficult to handle than they would be individually.
Name Meaning
A combination of 'Soldat', the italian word for 'soldier' and 'Corazza', the Italian word for 'armor'.
Origin of Design
Soldazza is based on the concept of haunted armor as well as the pawn chess piece.
