The Western Guardian is one of the ancient quasi-living constructs located in the Miato Region. Situated within the Tiger's Eye Ridge, it is associated with the spring season and the classical element of earth.
To reach the Western Guardian, the player must first locate it. Only a few knew where the entrance to the concealed path leading to the Western Guardian is located, and the Sigil that serves as its key has been in the possession particular family - chosen by the system itself and entrusted with the lore required to use it - for generations. In order to find the path, the player must obtain the sigil from its current keeper and take it to the Tiger's Eye Grove. Touching the Sigil to a corresponding groove in one of the rock formations will open the hidden doorway in the sheer rock cliff that the grove is located at the base of, leading into a previously obscured path into the mountains.
The path is a complex and treacherous one, but the Sigil's natural attraction to the Guardian allows traversing it along the shortest possible route, eventually leading to a small valley which holds the Guardian itself - a vast structure in the form of a tiger-like creature, partially carved out of the rocks of the ridge itself, in places overgrown with moss and plants and deep-green veins of energy.
Interior
The entrance into the structure lies within one of the creature's massive paws, leading into the interior. As with the Northern Guardian, the structure is primarily composed of the living marble shaped into flowing organic curves. The Western Guardian's inner functions, however, are partially facilitated through a symbiotic network of plants and fungi. Often whatever energy-redirection puzzles take place here influence the growth of plants which form bridges over gaps, opening new paths, and revitalizing parts of the structure that have not been energized for a time.
The Heart Chamber
The Western Guardian's Heart Chamber resembles resembles a lush tropical garden teeming with plantlife. The air is filled with the scent of flowers and moss and dew and interface-nodes mesh organically with the growth. As you approach the Glyph at the center of the chamber, the Glyph's protector - a Sprairie - is released, drawing from the dormant power of the Glyph to both boost its stats and augment its natural Prairie Wind ability, creating a Sylvan Orb that cannot be overridden with other weather effects for the entire duration of the battle.
Upon defeating the Protector Sprairie, the Glyph may be accessed using the West Stone. As the system is reinitialized, A South Stone is revitalized, allowing you to continue to the next guardian.
