Twillant is an insectoid Bug-Type Pokémon resembling a somewhat anthropomorphized winged ant. They are much darker in color than their previous form, with segments ranging between dark brown and black, possessing violet markings and claws. Their head has developed a sharp, backwards facing crest and the large, club-shaped antennae of their previous form give way to an array of four hyper-sensitive segmented antennae, capable of sensing a far wider range of signals. Their abdomen developed a sharp stinger and their second pair of appendages has differentiated to sport a razor sharp pair of claws which they use for quick, short ranged and particularly dangerous stabs.
Unlike Formarch, Twillant are solitary predators, and have a rather distinctive style of combat - Using the shadows as a cover to Taunt their foes into making wild, potentially self-damaging attacks, whilst strengthening themselves via almost dance-like maneuvers, before finally striking - often from up close with an increased priority move. They are surprisingly tough defensively, allowing them to take some hits even if they are detected as they make their preparatory moves. A style of martial art was inspired by Twillant's shadowy maneuvers - focused on dance-like motions drawing the opponent close to deliver sharp, focused and rapid attacks.
