When sunshine wanes, Cherisol roots itself and wraps its petals around itself to create a powerful defensive barrier, using an array of vines to manipulate its surroundings. It often watches over and protects colonies of Cherubi and Cherrim.

Biology
Cherisol is a vaguely humanoid Grass-Type Pokémon possessing two forms, alternating between them based on the weather (though by holding the Sol Orb or the Shade Orb it is possible to keep it in one of the two forms regardless of the weather).
In its regular 'Overcast' form it is nearly entirely wrapped in and covered by pinkish-purple petal-crests which obscure its true form - all that is visible of it are two large, cherry-red orbs on its shoulders, two smaller orbs on its forehead, and the sides of its face - a pale yellow hue with dark markings running along its sides. A mass of green, spiny vine-like tendrils emerges from within the floral shielding - often taking root in the ground and stabilizing the creature while drawing nutrients from the groun - with two particularly long, leaf-tipped spiny vines emerging from this mass and serving as appendages. This form is slightly less mobile (though it can still act relatively fast) and is built for higher endurance.
When bright sunlight is in effect, Cherisol changes into its Sunshine form. The transformation (often accompanied by what seems like a rain of Sakura petals) begins with the opening of a pair of red eyes on the creature's facial markings. The petals unwrap, the vines retract and Cherisol's 'true' form is revealed and stands up. In this form Cherisol is a graceful, tall, slender and long-necked humanoid figure with a pale yellow head sporting five small cherry-red orbs and five long leaf-crests that trail behind it. The head connected to a long, green and slender stem of a neck that terminates in a sepal-like covering of the shoulders and chest which serves as the origin point for more trailing petal crests. there is a third orb on its chest (between the shoulder orbs). Its body is the same yellowish as its face and its thin, digitigrade legs (which terminate in what almost seems like hooves) have sepal-like coverings on them as well, reaching up to its ankles. The sunshine form has more powerful attack capabilities and is faster, but can take less hits. Skilled trainers have been known to take advantage of both these forms, Switching between Sunshine form for powerful attack capabilities and retreating to Overcast form for healing and recovery - or alternately, switching to Sunshine form for a quick finisher or last-minute desperation attacks.
Cherisol are very uncommon in the wild - the few that were spotted seemed to take on roles of 'guardians' for colonies of Cherrim and Cherubi.
