Biology
Puprism is a Bug/Crystal-Type cocoon Pokémon. Its cocoon possesses the form of a geodesic spheroid and is made of a semi-translucent crystalline thread. the structure of the cocoon and the quality of the thread results in some some intriguing optical qualities - such as a high refractive index, which gives it an adamantine lustre. True to the nature of cocoon Pokémon, Puprism have a rather limited range of movement. To protect themselves from predators, Puprism stir within their cocoons and emit bright light from within it, which allows the creature within to Dazzle oncoming foes. Should disorienting the would-be predators by dazzling them not deter them, they can still thicken the crystal lattice of their cocoon causing it to as other cocoon Pokémon do.
Name Meaning
A combination of 'Pupa' and 'Prism'.
Origin of Design
Puprism are based on the relatively spherical, semi-translucent cocoons of some lacewing species.
Locations
Puprism can be found in Quartz Forest and some later routes.
