Biology
Shiftry native to Azure Valley have more or less maintained their shape, but became quasi-mineralized, losing their more prominent Grass-type attributes and acquiring Crystal-type attributes instead. Curiously, they continue to exhibit organic-plant-like growth in a very similar manner to the unique, quasi-mineralized plants native to Azure Valley.
Quite similar in form to their more common cousins, Azure Valley Shiftry nevertheless have some differences. As with their previous form, their skins have acquired traits of opalized wood, complex prominent markings visible on their surface. Their leafy fans have become largely mineralized, displaying the gnarling and branching of the digits that the leaves grow out of more prominently. Several crystalline orbs adorn the creatures' shoulders and chest in a formation resembling the necklace of a Yamabushi, an additional crystal is present in the middle of its forehead like a third eye, and the soles of their geta-like feet are partially mineralized. as well. Their arms also grow shaggy fur between the wrist and the elbow.
Locations
The Azure Valley subspecies of Shiftry cannot be found in the wild, and must be evolved by exposing an Azure Valley Nuzleaf to a Leaf Stone.
