Route 8 is a route in Miato, trailing east from Topaz City through the northern Jeweled Desert up to the banks of the Beryl River. Heading North would take one to Beryl Lake the source of the Beryl River, whilst heading South would take one to Opal Town.
Route Description
Route 8 is a relatively short route compared to the two that precede it. It begins at the eastern exit from Topaz City - marked almost immediately by the presence of the Topaz Pyramid and the small path that leads into which - and travels east through the northernmost reaches of the Jeweled Desert. Its environment is somewhat of a point of transition between what one would call "badlands" and what one would call a "desert" though to the south, the terrain begins to change. You will not be able to wander southwards into the desert proper at first, until you have acquired a suitable navigation system and protective gear.
The environment changes somewhat as you approach the Beryl River's flood plain - which is naturally more verdant. The path splits here, heading along the river itself either north to its source - the glacial Beryl Lake - or due south to Opal Town.
Wild Pokémon
This is a habitat for a variety of Ground, Rock and Fire types - as well as some desert-dwelling Grass and Bug types. Magpyre can be spotted here, as can the occasional Flarpion.
