Hatching in nests atop steep cliffs, Valts must leap from dizzying heights to find sustenance. A combination of light weight, thick and fluffy coats, and the instinctive ability to manipulate air currents allows them to survive the fall, while a parent keeps watch for predators nearby.

Biology

Valts is a small avian Fighting and Flying-Type Pokémon. It shares many similarities with Ralts, though the two species are biologically unrelated.

Name Meaning

A combination of valkyrie or valiant and Ralts.

Origin of Design

Valts was designed to resemble Ralts in broad strokes while resembling a fluffy avian fledgeling. Its habitat around sheer cliffs and the need to leap out of its nest to the ground below was inspired by the nesting habits of the barnacle goose.

Locations

Valts can be found in the general vicinity of sheer cliff faces, and are particularly associated with Olmvindur Cliffs.
