Biology

Colibreon is a quadrupedal Flying-Type mammalian Pokémon resembling a composite of assorted carnivoran mammals and a hummingbird. Its body is largely covered with iridescent green feathers with a downier, lighter minty green underside. Its legs are accented with lavender-hued feathers that reach up to around the middle of the leg. The top of its head is black and crested. A line of Black plumage runs alongside its spine, terminating in a tail consisting of four black feathers, two of which are large and broad and the other two are long, streamer-like feathers dotted with iridescent blue pinpricks. Unlike most of Eevee's evolutions, Colibreon lacks external ears. They do, however, possess a pair of wings - similar in form and functionality to those of hummingbirds. Colibreons can beat their wings extremely rapidly and their maneuverability in air is superior to many other flying types.

Colibreon are relatively small and light in comparison to other Eevee evolutions - their bodies are only slightly larger than those of their pre-evolutions. This makes them rather frail in terms of defense. However they are fast creatures (and may use their speed to Dazzle their foes with their iridescent plumes or appear to be in more than one place at once via Double Team) and possess a great deal of aerial maneuverability, allowing them to utilize a wide array of flying-type moves.

Name Meaning

A combination of 'colibri' (a genus of hummingbird, and indeed a common word for hummingbirds in general) and the 'eon' suffix used by Eeveelutions.
