Opportunistic hunters, Triyote prowl about in small, vaguely organized bands in search of prey. Though their numbers have been rising as of late, it is still more common to hear a Triyote than to see one.

Biology
Triyote is a quadrupedal Ground-Type mammalian Pokémon resembling a coyote. Like its previous form, its body is largely covered with a thick brown coat with a lighter underside. Triyote's markings resemble those of its previous form, though Triyote's face has stripes running along its cheeks and an array of stripes running along its back from roughly the center of the back to the base of the tail. Like its previous form, these markings have ultraviolet iridescence.
Though they are by no means physically weak, Triyote often prefer to rely on their superior Special Attack capability in battle, utilizing moves such as Earth Power and Tri Attack. Coupled with their Serene Grace ability, they make surprisingly powerful allies for their level of commonness.
Like their previous forms, Triyote are nocturnal creatures spending the day in burrows. They often hunt in pairs, though they may hunt in larger, loosely associated bands.
Name Meaning
A combination of 'tri' and 'coyote'.
Origin of Design
Triyote is based on a coyote. It is partially based on the icon for the Field egg group in Generation 2.
Locations
Triyote are highly adaptive creatures and are known to quickly integrate into ecosystems they are introduced to. They are relatively common in the outer areas of the Jeweled Desert, though they may be found in other areas as well.
