Luna is the Gym Leader of Quartz City. She specializes in Pokémon associated with the moon and hands out the Star Badge to Trainers who defeat her.

Appearance and Personality

Luna could be best described as a hippie. She is green eyed, freckled and has long, light brown hair done up in many thin braids tipped with light green beads. she wears a light green bandanna with a light yellow star on it, round, pink, frame-less sunglasses, a rainbow-swirled tie-dye sleeveless shirt (revealing the gold moon tattoo on her right arm and her midriff) and reddish-brown, loose-fitting cloth trousers, crescent moon symbols in light yellow shortly above her feet. Her arms are adorned with a variety of hoop-shaped gold and silver bracelets and on her right hand she wears a mood ring.

Luna's appearance isn't the only thing about there that could be considered hippie-like. She is very laid back, philosophical, meditative and subscribes to many "new-age" ideas - particularly ones related to the moon and stars, believing that they have subtle influences that cannot be wholly explained by scientific means - but that some Pokémon are clearly attuned to them and their cycles. Luna spends much time meditating with her Pokémon in an attempt to understand these hidden influences.

Role in the Story

Beyond her role as a gym leader, Luna has little bearing on the events of the Jade Town Trainers' adventure at this time.
