Biology

Mismagius' regional form in the Norrvalo region is a Ghost and Psychic-Type Pokémon. While it shares the general frame of Mismagius in other regions, it differs in coloration and its form is adorned with numerous sun, moon and star themed embellishments. Pearlescent gems in the shape of crescent moons adorn its body while one in the shape of a stylized sun adorns its "hat". The lower half of its face appears to be covered by a semitranslucent veil.

The Mismagius of Norrvalo draw their energy from the light of distant stars - and by attuning their minds to their position, distance and phenomena that affect their light as it makes its journey to the Pokémon World, they can scry the possible outcomes of an event and take action to shift the probabilities of a favorable outcome higher, thus 'altering fate'. The observations, calculations and confluence of psionic energy requires to make these a reality are all expressed as projection in the form of an armillary sphere which Mismagius invokes as its signature move.

Name Meaning

A combination of Misdreavus and magus or magic.

Origin of Design

A regional form of the official Pokémon Mismagius, sharing much of the same design elements, the form of Misdreavus found in Norrvalo draws inspiration from Final Fantasy XIV's Astrologian job – and likewise, it evokes the imagery of outfits traditionally associated with mystics and fortune-tellers.

Locations

Mismagius may rarely emerge in the general vicinity of Asphodale Town, but are seldom seen in the wild.
