Mega Evolution
Mega Evolution is a transformation affecting certain Pokémon, first documented in the Kalos region. Powered by the bond between Pokémon and Trainer and the resonance between a Mega Stone and a Key Stone, Mega Evolution allows a Pokémon to temporarily evolve beyond its ultimate form and attain wondrous powers.
The unusual mineral composition of Azure Valley has been discovered to occasionally give rise to the mysterious Mega Stones required for Mega Evolution. As with every other region, these are exceptionally difficult to find - but it is said that there is a certain mineral formation which may resonate with the Key Stone - and that a Trainer and a Pokémon sharing a deep bond may attune their minds to the resonance as it spreads through the mineral veins of Azure Valley and follow the trail to where such a stone lies.
