Biology

Diamono is a vaguely diamond-shaped fish Pokémon resembling a silver moony. Its most prominent feature is its reflective silvery scales, a few black stripe markings and the vaguely iridescent yellow tips of its dorsal, caudal and anal fins.

Diamono usually hatch in rivers and travel downstream to the ocean as they mature, spending most of their adult life in the ocean and returning to the rivers to lay their eggs. They generally travel in shoals, occasionally chasing each other to establish a form of hierarchy. They are omnivorous, feeding on both vegetable material, small Bug-types and sometimes other fish.

Name Meaning

A combination of 'diamond' and 'mono', a short form of Monodactylus, the genus of the fish it is based on.

Origin of Design

Diamono is based on upon the Silver moony fish, sometimes referred to as the 'diamond fish'.

Locations

Diamono can be found by fishing in various locations, including Azure Valley.
