Using sophisticated cloning equipment, he can resurrect fossils of long-extinct Pokémon into living Pokémon. He has little involvement in the Jade Town Trainers' adventure otherwise, though he notes that he has not seen his wife so excited about her studies in a very long time and thanks the trainers for their involvement in this.
