Dragonite, art by Ken Sugimori. He's a dinosaur from our imagination.

Dragonite is an official Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is #149 in the National PokéDex.

It is the official evolution of Dragonair and is one of the two possible evolutionary paths for that Pokémon in the region of Miato, the other leading to Drazurite.

There are rumors that it is also Barney the Purple Dinosaur's orange cousin and that it makes about as much evolutionary sense as Remoraid turning into Octillery, but that is a different story entirely.

For more information on Dragonite, see its Bulbapedia entry.
