While Solardove's small and cute appearance tends to mislead its enemies into not taking it seriously - When it is attacked, It will fight bravely to defend itself. It absorbs sunlight using the antennae on its head.

Biology

Solardove is an avian Grass/Flying-Type mammalian Pokémon resembling a passerine bird - though it possesses some ancient bird-ancestral traits such as wing-claws and its unique five-fingered legs. A pair of antennae tipped with red baubles emerge from its head.

Solardove are diurnally-active and largely arboreal, spending most of their time on trees - though they occasionally drop to the ground to forage for food. They feed primarily on fruit and seeds - including tough-shelled seeds, which it can crack with its beak - and the occasional small Bug-type.

Name Meaning

A combination of 'solar' and 'dove'.

Origin of Design

Solardove is based on various passerine birds and derive some traits from ancestral proto-avian maniraptorans.
