Arcane Geometry

Arcane Geometry is an ability. It is the signature ability of Carbright.

Effect

In battle

The form of a Carbright with the Arcane Geometry ability changes based on the Arcane Gemstone that it holds.

• When holding an Arcane Ruby, Carbright will shift into its Ruby Form, becoming a Fairy/Fire type.
• When holding an Arcane Topaz, Carbright will shift into its Topaz Form, becoming a Fairy/Ground type.
• When holding an Arcane Emerald, Carbright will shift into its Emerald Form, becoming a Fairy/Flying type.

The effects of Draconic Trance supersede the effects of this ability for the duration that the transformation is active. However, upon the end of the move's duration, the Carbright would revert to the form it held before transforming, as determined by this ability.

This ability cannot be disabled, replaced or copied by moves and abilities that affect abilities. If a Pokémon other than Carbright obtains Arcane Geometry with or Transform, the Pokémon will copy the form of the target Carbright regardless of its own held item. A Pokémon with the ability mimicing a Carbright's form would mimic the form it would have had were it sent out, determined by the gem it holds. The Arcane Emerald, Arcane Topaz and Arcane Ruby items cannot be affected by moves that affect items when they are held by a Carbright with this ability.

This ability has no effect out of battle.
