Ivy is the Gym Leader of Malachite City. She specializes in Grass-type Pokémon and hands out the Jungle Badge to Trainers who defeat her.

Appearance and Personality

Ivy is green-eyed, freckled and has long, straight dark brown hair that runs to about the middle of her back. She wears a malachite skirt overshirt with frayed sleeves and a malachite skirt with a frayed hem over a black tube top and brown leather trousers. Her over-shirt's collar line is lined with leafy designs and its underside is slitted, a string crisscrossing between the two parts. Her midriff remains exposed. Her skirt is held together by a "rope" of leather, two small crystal orbs near the knot of it, and a small leather pouch hangs from it. she wears a similar rope around her forehead as a headband and an amulet featuring a plant frond encased in a green amber-like substance. Her arms feature an intricate, swirling leafy vine design -though it isn't clear whether these are tattooed on, continuously drawn on or worn as a sleeve of sorts.

Ivy is a nature girl through and through - she has a strong affinity for the great outdoors and to Grass-type Pokémon. She enjoys traveling and immersing herself in nature - particularly in forests. She's generally kind and good-natured, but she has zero tolerance for idiocy and can get rather sarcastic about it.

Role in the Story

In addition to her duties as a Gym Leader, Ivy has a major fondness to a certain Rainforest Island, which she has modeled her gym after. When the Jade Town Trainers visit this island, she travels and battles alongside them.
